Conjure One (Ryhs Fulber of Front Line Assembly and Delerium)
For nearly ten years, electronic pioneer / Juno Award winner Rhys Fulber has grown to become comfortable with himself, taking complete control of his own experimental destiny. After years of nurturing fans in the Industrial circuit as a member of Front Line Assembly with founding member Bill Leeb, Fulber sidelined the fantasy angst of the genre and re-teamed with Leeb in a splinter outfit to explore a new dimension, ambient pop. Delerium was the unexpected result. As a string of hit dance singles mounted across the globe, including the crossover Billboard Adult hit "Silence," featuring Sarah McLachlan on vocals, the tag-team of Fulber and Leeb were at the head of the class once again.
Continuing with the same guest vocalists formula derived from Delerium, Rhys' latest invention Conjure One empowers his artistic ability by stripping the layers of ambient pop while roughing the edges with a direct yet open-ended sound. Whereas Delerium was more schematic, Conjure One allows for non-binding options and explores earthly territories from the deep corners of the East to sunset tranquility of the West. With a passion for melodies and lyrics that reflect the realities of life, Conjure One takes more risks than Fulber's previous projects while easing listeners into a sound-scape that accommodates a range of emotions.
Architect (Daniel Myer of Haujobb and Covenant)
Architect is a unique hybrid of IDM, electronica and smooth ambient soundscapes as inexhaustibly explored by German mastermind Daniel Myer. Born in 1971 and based in Bielefeld, Daniel began experimenting with electronic music in his teenage years, and in 1993 he founded the legendary electro-industrial/EBM project Haujobb. Since then he has made a name for himself in the modern electronic music scene and initiated a legion of first class band projects like HMB, Newt and Destroid. Daniel is now also a permanent member of the renowned Swedish EBM band Covenant and has been since he first joined in 2007. As if that were not enough, he also busies himself by working as a producer, live and studio musician for various other projects.
Architect was created in 1998 and can be easily described as the most outstanding and fascinating of Daniel's projects. Musically, Architect are a fusion of multiple styles - primarily focusing on minimal techno, glitch and drum'n'bass. However, Architects greatest feature is that the use of slow tempos and occasional long vocal samples manage to combine with tight and forceful rhythms to render the music suitable for both listening and dancing. Architect have proven their mettle on five full-length album releases and on countless acclaimed concerts world-wide. In 2010 Alan Wilder (Recoil) discovered Architect's brilliance, which led to Daniel performing as a support act for Recoil on multiple acclaimed shows in Europe. Architect's relationship with Recoil will continue on an upcoming Architect/Recoil U.S. tour later this year!
Architect's recent release: Consume Adapt Create is a unique blend of atmospheric idm, cinematic samples, powerfully distorted sequences, ramming electro grooves, razor-sharp breakbeats, and haunting ambience. Music to move the dancefloor while still creating more than enough depth and texture for heavy listening through your headphones. Daniel Myer demonstrates his astounding compositional skill through his use of surgically placed sounds, unrelenting beats and complex, intelligent arrangements. Creating a powerful mix of both synthetic noise and organic emotion. Listen up and see for yourself!
The Dead Superheroes Orchestra is a rock ensemble with a pitch-black wit and dazzling sound that takes you from your hometown cemetery to the depths of the Underworld and up to the bare face of the moon. Dreamed up by brains steeped in Batman, Mozart, Dostoevsky and Dante, it is the story of an angel and a boy who comes back from the dead. The Orchestra is a band of 5 instrumentalists, led by singer/guitarist/composer Mark Winston, with virtuosic skill who bring to life a mesmerizing sound that has been described as "monochromatic glam," "Post-goth orchestral pop," "gothic chamber rock," "a mix of Rasputina, Jeff Buckley and David Bowie," but has most properly been described as "@$!ing amazing."
